How to use
Getting started
- Set your Coach Leadership and Sublevel in the Season Setup panel. This determines how fast your TS recovers toward 4.5 (the equilibrium point).
- Choose your starting week. If you're mid-season, pick the current week and use the slider to set your current TS value.
- Plan your attitude for each match (Cup and League) using the dropdowns on each week card:
- PIC (Play It Cool) — TS increases after the match
- Normal — TS stays the same after the match
- MOTS (Match of the Season) — TS drops significantly after the match
- Mid-season changes — every week card has three buttons in its header: ⚙ for coach/psychologist changes, 💊 for the Nero Pill, and 💰 for the Market.
- ⚙ Advanced — change your Coach leadership and your Sports Psychologist starting from that week. A change made at week 3 applies from week 3 onward — every following week inherits it until you set another change ("Same as above" = keep the previous value). Useful if you plan to fire or hire a psychologist mid-season, or if you expect a coach change.
- 💊 Nero Pill — opens the Nero Pill band, between the Cup and League rows. If you plan a training intensity change that week, toggle it ON there and set the resulting Team Spirit (compute it with the Nero Pill Calculator): that TS is the value the prediction continues from, while the cup "After" stays on display as history. The four small boxes (old/new intensity and stamina) are optional tracking notes — they are not used in any calculation, and they are saved with your plan.
- 💰 Market — opens the Market band, with 7 update slots covering the whole window from the previous League match to this week's League match (4 slots leading into the Cup, 3 more leading into the League). Use the +/− stepper on any slot where a transfer that week affected your Team Spirit: each impactful transfer cuts TS by 5%, and multiple transfers in the same slot compound (5% of what remains, not 5% flat each time). The small notes field under each slot is optional and only for tracking — it has no effect on the calculation.
- All three icons light up on weeks with an active change (⚙ and 💰 in green, 💊 in colour when the pill is on). Everything is included in the save URL and in Save / Load slots.
- The tool calculates in real time. Watch the Before and After values update on each card, and the TS Trend chart at the top.
How the engine works
- TS has an internal "raw" value that determines the visible level you see in-game. The engine works in this raw space for accuracy.
- TS naturally drifts toward the equilibrium point between matches. Without a Sports Psychologist, equilibrium is approximately 4.5 visible TS.
- If your TS is above equilibrium, it will decrease toward it between matches. If it's below, it will rise. The further away you are, the stronger the pull.
- Coach Leadership controls the speed of descent and ascent. A higher leadership means TS drops faster when high and rises faster when low.
- Between Cup and League (same week) there are 3 daily updates. Between League and the next Cup there are 4 daily updates.
- After the natural drift is calculated, the match attitude applies its effect:
- PIC multiplies the internal TS by 1.7 (significant boost)
- Normal leaves TS unchanged
- MOTS multiplies the internal TS by 0.3 (heavy drop)
- The "Knocked Out" option for Cup means you're eliminated — that cup slot has no match and no effect on TS.
Save & Load
Use the Save / Load button to store up to 8 different plans in your browser. Give each slot a name (e.g. "Aggressive MOTS week 14") and compare strategies.
Compare plans
The Compare page puts up to 5 plans side by side: a chart with one coloured line per plan, and a week-by-week table. The Week column shows your real opponents (with results for played matches, when connected to Hattrick); each plan column shows the four TS values (Cup before/after, League before/after) with PIC/MOTS chips, plus a 💊 line on Nero Pill weeks with the TS the plan continues from and the intensity change from your tracking notes. At the bottom, three summary rows — Ø League before, Peak and Lowest — with the best plan starred. Columns can be reordered by dragging, minimized (–) to focus on fewer plans, or removed (🗑). Use + Add plan to load a saved slot or to go build a new plan in the planner.

The story behind this tool
How it started
My nickname is MrSabotino, and I had been working on HT Prediction Lab — www.htpredictionlab.com — for a few weeks when BogoDa22 asked me to collaborate on a tool for planning Team Spirit. He, Vanistelraffo, and Mr-Kalos had already been thinking about it.
The guys already had some code developed, but they still had a few doubts. I wasn't able to solve the problem either, so the project had stalled a bit.
First attempt
Later on, I decided to give it another try, starting from the Excel formulas of the French community that Mr-Kalos had found online. From there, I built Team Spirit Planner. That tool is actually live here: team-spirit-planner.vercel.app
Still, we had some doubts internally, so I decided to share it with Umberto93. He told me: "Interesting… but very approximate." That confirmed the doubts the others had.
The discovery
On the bright side, he told me about another tool that did exactly the same job, but accurately. Unfortunately, it was no longer online. He said many experienced players were interested in that tool and still missed it.
Umberto still had the link… but, as expected, it was no longer active.
After some "internet archaeology", I found an old version on the Wayback Machine that still contained the formulas. Unexpectedly, I managed to recover them completely and also discover a bit more about the tool.
The original creator
It had originally been developed by Aggo85, a user who stopped playing in 2012. We will probably never be able to thank him, and who knows, maybe he will never know that we managed to bring his tool back to life.
The rebuild
The tool was showing its age a bit, so I redesigned it, made it mobile-friendly, updated the settings experience, added browser saving, a real-time chart, and a few other small improvements.
In honor of its creator, I also kept the original name I found in the old code.
And yes, we can say it: the relaunch of this tool is another fantastic story from the Hattrick community.
Update from the community
After I published the first version, I shared it on the Hattrick forum. NickTheFool noticed that the TS formulas could be more accurate and shared a more advanced study of his own, so we worked together to refine the engine.
The project is still evolving, and we'll see where it goes from here.
Good luck
Good luck to everyone planning their seasons.
